Energetic Open House Events
at TotalEnergies
TotalEnergies is celebrating 100 years, and its Belgian subsidiary is marking 75 years. A double reason to celebrate! That’s why we opened the doors of our site on Scheldelaan in Antwerp wide, treating 3,600 guests to an unforgettable event. Our teams successfully managed the “Festival of Energy” over four days, with a strong focus on safety.
Riding the Waves of Change
TotalEnergies has been a pioneer for 100 years, leading the way with groundbreaking projects focused on a sustainable future. To celebrate this rich history and its role as a frontrunner in the energy transition, the refinery wanted to invite its partners, customers, students, former and current employees, and their families to the Antwerp site, which turned 75 this year, and take them on a journey through the waves of change. The (graphic) common theme throughout the event communication was intentionally centered around 'currents' in the recognizable corporate colors.
Four Days of Celebration for All Ages in Antwerp
More than just a double anniversary celebration, the Eventique team transformed it into an engaging experience, a true "energy festival." The 3,600 visitors enjoyed a diverse program spread over four days. They could hop on a bus for a tour of the impressive refinery installations, and at the end of the tour, as a grand finale, they experienced a spectacular fountain show inspired by the Bellagio Water Show in Las Vegas. In the 'event village,' they had the chance to visit an expo about TotalEnergies and the Antwerp site – a journey through history with a look at the future. Younger visitors could explore the world of energy hands-on in a 'future lab.' After visiting the different 'domes,' they could relax and socialize over food, drinks, and music at the iconic TotalEnergies gas station, the beating heart of the festival village.
Safety and Sustainability at the Forefront
Guiding a stream of people safely through the site for four days was no small feat. The event location is a Seveso site, subject to particularly strict regulations. That’s why we set up a separate registration flow for each target group to have a clear overview of the number and identity of the guests. Upon arrival, everyone had to register with a personal QR code and wear a bracelet with a tracker. This way, we knew at all times who was present and could perfectly track and locate the attendees. Crowd control? Check!
In addition to safety, we also focused heavily on sustainability. Biogenerators, solar panels, biodegradable cups and plates, zero waste policy... We spared no effort in reinforcing TotalEnergies' commitment to sustainability. For anyone still doubting after the open house event, they could always refer to the book about 100 years of TotalEnergies – the perfect gift for an energetic event.
