Slabbinck designs digitally
For three generations, Kunstateliers Slabbinck in Bruges has been crafting liturgical garments. Recently, customers around the world can now design their own handcrafted chasubles, stoles, and other ecclesiastical textiles — online, using a configurator.
Online tool enhances customer service
Slabbinck takes pride in meeting customer needs. Since 1903, the liturgical textile manufacturer has placed great value on personal service—now also online. The extensive webshop offers visitors a wide selection of items, many of which can be customized to their own taste. And now, there's the ‘Create your Slabbinck’ configurator, making it even easier to order tailor-made pieces.
Configurator is a blessing for priests
The configurator operates completely independently from Slabbinck’s webshop and website and is freely accessible, without the need for a login. Anyone can use a series of filters to design a customized textile piece: fabric, color, decoration, model, etc. In just a few steps, it’s ready, and after reviewing the summary (also downloadable as a PDF), the order can be finalized and paid for securely.
Technically complex project in UX design
While the online configurator and the entire workflow may look blissfully simple to the user, its development was a true technical feat. Pure craftsmanship from our developers. Curious about the tech specs behind this ultra-convenient design tool? Our experts are happy to share the details.
