Strategic Digital Transformation for EFRAG
The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) has a new website. Much more than just a technological upgrade, it became a strategic investment in the future of the organization. The new site reflects how EFRAG wants to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Our dev&tech team successfully guided the digital transformation.
The Website Was Due for an Update
In terms of flexibility and user-friendliness, the EFRAG site had reached its limits. The content was fragmented, and the website lacked an intuitive structure. As a result, it was not easy for visitors to find information quickly. Moreover, the management had become labor-intensive and time-consuming. A digital transformation was necessary!
How did we tackle the challenges?
We mapped out a transformation process with EFRAG to tackle the challenges. We identified the needs of the stakeholders in preparatory workshops. That was sufficient input for an in-depth wireframing and design round, which ultimately led to the development of a website-centred on an optimal user experience with streamlined content and an efficient navigation structure.

Technical Optimizations Simplify Content Management
The new website now provides a robust solution for the complex content structure required to support a wide range of content types (e.g., projects, meetings, news, updates, job vacancies, etc.).
- Thanks to seamless integration with SharePoint, users can migrate and enrich content effortlessly within the new environment. The website is also integrated with the open-source marketing automation platform Mautic.
- Users can also easily log in via Microsoft authentication, eliminating the need for password management.
- Finally, the website uses dynamic content blocks, which increase flexibility and ensure content is always up-to-date and relevant.

"The launch of the new website marks a new chapter in EFRAG's digital transformation."
What’s the Result?
Communication with its stakeholders has already improved thanks to the enhanced user experience and efficient content management. The dynamic content blocks and improved functionality foster user engagement, and the brand identity has received a boost. The revamped website is now a powerful tool that enables EFRAG to fulfill its mission and strengthen its position as a leading voice in European financial reporting. And this is just the beginning. EFRAG has ambitious plans for the future, including the development of an extranet for employees and external partners. We’ll keep you updated.

The dark arts...
One last thing: EFRAG also wants the website to reflect its commitment to sustainability. The website runs exclusively on servers that are powered by renewable energy. Visitors can also help save energy by switching their display to dark mode. A dark background is easier on the device’s battery and some feel it’s easier on the eyes. With this in mind, we offer it as a display option on the new website.
