Bruges-based family business De Scheemaeker is a wholesaler of bikes and bike parts. Our developers and designers were given the task of upgrading the company website. They saddled up to add some extra gears to create an accessible online platform.

Website made for the general public

The website is tailored to two target groups. For the general public it’s a rich source of information, with a user-friendly presentation of every De Scheemaeker bike. You can filter the range by category or make. You can find a nearby retailer with the dealer locator. The UX design also ensures the website always looks its very best on any device, from smartphone to desktop.

The new website will help De Scheemaeker accelerate into the future, which will ultimately benefit dealers and consumers.

E-commerce for B2B

We went that extra mile for bike dealers. Dealers can continue to log in to their personal account to order and see which bikes and parts are in stock. They can be sure that all stock data is up to date, because it’s synchronised 24/7 with De Scheemaeker’s stock management system. Our designers streamlined the complicated process to minimise the need for manual adjustments and ensure the site is low maintenance. This speeds up the ordering process significantly. You select what you need, add to your shopping cart and go.

A secure payment module has also been integrated into the mix. Basically, we created a fully fledged e-commerce website.

Usability enhanced by practical extras

We also added some extra account features and functions to simplify the order process for dealers. As well as personalised prices and special offers (which are immediately applied), they can now see their order history and add products to their favourites. And there’s an online form to request a bike service.
